Colon Cleanse InformationThe Infamous Colon CleanseThere is much controversy over whether colon cleansing is really needed. Some people swear by it, while others think that it doesn't even work. It is important to understand why you would need to cleanse your colon in the first place. A good rule of thumb when it comes to your colons health is the number of times you go to the bathroom, and have a bowel movement a day. Some people think once a day is good, but science has shown that you should be going 2-3 times per day. Basically, you should have a bowel movement for every meal you eat. If you only eat once a day, then that's fine. But if you aren't going the same amount each day that you eat, your colon could be in trouble. The colon is basically the 'sewage center" of the body, and if it is not emptied enough everyday, you get build up. Sounds gross, and it is, but it is important for the waste your body produces to be in it the shortest amount of time possible. Your colon has a muscle called the peristalsis that basically move the waste out consistently. You could think of it as constant rippling, so it is always moving out. But your colon can get clogged with old waste and other gunk that builds up and keeps this process from happening correctly. Colon cleansing gets rid of all that extra gunk and waste, and it also gets your peristalsis working correctly again. This keeps your body systems working well, and while that is important, it sometimes doesn't seem like such a big deal. But it really is. Colon cleansing gets rid of bad bacteria that can make you sick, and it also gets rid of extra weight that you are carrying around with you. This gets rid of weight that you would never be able to get rid of any other way. Colon CleansingWestern culture has taught us that the way we feel is 'normal'. Most times, that is not the truth. Many people don't think colon cleansing is good or needed for themselves, until they see the difference once they have done it. Processed, canned, and preserved foods all add up to a backed up system. Actually, when you die, many people don't even have to be embalmed now, due to the large amount of preservatives in our systems. This is obviously not natural, or good for you. Your colon is your large intestine, which is 5 feet long. It is only suppose to be 2 1/2 inches in diameter, but because of our diets, most people have backed up and impacted waste that stretches out your colon. If you have a bulging stomach, or a thick waistline, this is likely the reason. It is not something that diet or exercise can change, either. You can carry pounds of impacted waste around, and not be able to get rid of it, no matter what you do. Does this sound gross to you? It is! And very unhealthy, too. You see, your bodies waste has bacteria, good, and bad, but when it is not processed the way it should be, the bad can overwhelm the good, and you can get really sick. The toxins from the build up enter your blood stream through the walls of your colon, and spread throughout your body. Colon cleansing is the answer to this problem. There are many natural, herbal supplements that are available for cleansing, if you are worried about taking a pill for it. Many herbalist claim that colon cleansing can cure up to 90% of diseases that people have. This seems like something you would be silly not to take part in, and it puts your health at risk. |

Just take a reasonable amount, and you should be good! Overeating is a huge problem in America because we don't know when to stop! 2. Eat slowly. I know when you are really hungry that can be hard, but if you take time and chew everything slowly, you are less likely to overeat. How crazy is that? Just slow down, and enjoy the food. 3. If you don't like the food, don't eat it. I know that sounds silly, but we tend to just eat whatever is in front of us, whenever it is there. But if you only eat what you really like, that will also cut down on your food intake. 4. Don't park close to the store. I know everyone wants the "prime" parking places, but it won't kill you to walk the extra few hundred feet from the car to the store. 5. Switch it up! Don't eat the same thing every week. Variety is the spice of life, and trying new things is good for your digestion as well! 6. Eat as much fresh food as possible. I know its tough sometimes, but be sure you aren't always eating packaged food. They tend to have much higher amounts of sodium and other bad things for you. |
